Distribution Warehouse Manager

The role:
We are currently seeking a Distribution Warehouse Manager to be based in our Cambridge Branch in Hautapu. This role requires you to have a mix of staff management, planning, process management, and reporting skills and experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage warehouse staff to achieve greatest productivity and efficiency.
• Plan and execute cycle count requirements for all inventories.
• Manage freight costs out of Hautapu and establish key performance and cost metrics.
• Manage warehouse fleets: forklifts and other machinery and equipment.
• Establish and manage consistent best practice processes for inwards, inventory management and dispatch systems.
• Place orders for all warehouse consumables.
• Contribute and behave in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors.

We are ideally looking for:

• At least 3-5 years’ experience at a team leader or above in a large and complex Warehouse and Distribution operation.
• Experience of leading a warehouse team, either in a formal or informal capacity.
• Full inventory and document management experience.
• Experience with Warehouse management software.
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail and safety of Handling and Transporting heavy goods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible hours as required, with availability to work on a Saturday as and when required.
• Able to work without direct supervision.
